حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ خَالِدٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ؓ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ رَأَى عَلَى رَجُلٍ ثَوْبًا مَصْبُوغًا بِالْعُصْفُرِ، فَقَالَ: " مَا هَذَا ؟ " فَانْطَلَقَ عَبْدُ اللهِ فَأَحْرَقَهُ بِالنَّارِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: مَا صَنَعْتَ بِثَوْبِكَ ؟ " قَالَ: أَحْرَقْتُهُ، قَالَ: " أَفَلَا كَسَوْتَهُ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ saw a man wearing a garment dyed with safflower and said: 'What is this?' So Abdullah went and burned it with fire. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him: 'What did you do with your garment?' He said: 'I burned it.' He said: 'Why did you not clothe someone with it?'
