  1. ʿIṣmah

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ visited us at Quba. When he wanted to return, we brought him a sturdy, slow-paced donkey, and he mounted it. We said, “O Messenger of God, this is a servant who will come with you to return the animal.” He said: “The owner of the mount is more entitled to its front.” We said, “O Messenger of God, ride it and return it to us.” He went and returned it to us, and it was ambling—none could keep pace with it.
