قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، حَدَّثَتْنِي فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ الْمُنْذِرِ، قَالَتْ:

« كَانَتْ تُحَدِّثُنَا أَسْمَاءُ وَبَنَاتُ أَخِيهَا، فَكَانَتْ إِحْدَانَا تَغْتَسِلُ مِنَ الْحَيْضَةِ بَعْدَ الطُّهْرِ ثُمَّ الْحَيْضَةِ، سَلَسُهَا إِلَى الصُّفْرَةِ وَالْكُدْرَةِ، فَتَأْمُرُنَا أَنْ نَعْتَزِلَ الصَّلَاةَ حَتَّى لَا نَرَى إِلَّا الْبَيَاضَ خَالِصًا

Translation

✧ “Asma’ and her brother’s daughters used to narrate to us. One of us would perform ghusl after the end of menstruation, then menstruation again—its flow leading to yellowness and duskiness—and she would command us to abstain from prayer until we saw nothing but pure whiteness.”
