✧ Supplication When Meeting the Enemy and the Command to Remain Silent

قَالَ الْحَارِثُ: حَدَّثَنَا السَّكَنُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ، ثَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ حُدَيْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي مِجْلَزٍ، قَالَ:

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا لَقِيَ الْعَدُوَّ قَالَ: اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ عَضُدِي وَنَاصِرِي، بِكَ أَحُولُ، وَبِكَ أَصُولُ، وَبِكَ أُقَاتِلُ

Translation

Chain of narrators

  2. al-Sakan b. Nāfiʿ
  3. ʿImrān b. Ḥudayr
  4. Abū Mijlaz

✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ met the enemy, he would say: 'O Allah, You are my support and my helper; by You I move, and by You I assail, and by You I fight.'
