الْحَارِثُ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ الْفُضَيْلِ الْخَطْمِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ ذُؤَيْبٍ الْأَسَدِيِّ، قَالَ:
صَحِبْتُ الزُّبَيْرَ بْنَ الْعَوَّامِ ؓ مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ إِلَى مَكَّةَ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ، وَكَانَ يَأْكُلُ لَحْمَ صَيْدِ الْبَرِّ، فَقُلْتُ لَهُ فِي ذَلِكَ، فَقَالَ: صَادَهُ حَلَالٌ، وَقَدْ سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَلَمْ يَرَ بِهِ بَأْسًا
Translation

✧ I accompanied al-Zubayr b. al-Awwam ؓ from Madinah to Makkah while he was in ihram, and he used to eat the meat of land game. I said to him about that, and he said, 'A non-muhrim hunted it, and I asked the Messenger of God ﷺ, and he did not see any harm in it.'
