✧ The Answering of Supplication at the Time of Breaking the Fast and What the Fasting Person Says When He Breaks His Fast

وَقَالَ الْحَارِثُ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ، ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، ثَنَا السَّرِيُّ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ؓ، قَالَ:

قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: يَا عَلِيُّ، إِذَا كُنْتَ صَائِمًا فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ فَقُلْ بَعْدَ إِفْطَارِكَ: اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ صُمْتُ، وَعَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ، وَعَلَى رِزْقِكَ أَفْطَرْتُ، يُكْتَبْ لَكَ مِثْلُ مَنْ كَانَ صَائِمًا مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يَنْقُصَ مِنْ أُجُورِهِمْ شَيْءٌ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: O 'Ali, when you are fasting in the month of Ramadan, say after breaking your fast: 'O Allah, for You I fasted, and upon You I relied, and with Your provision I break my fast.' It will be written for you like the reward of one who fasts without diminishing anything from their rewards.
