وَقَالَ ابْنُ مَنْدَهْ: أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ الْإِمَامُ. 1058 / 6 - وَقَالَ ابْنُ السَّكَنِ: أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الطَّائِيُّ، قَالَا: أَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مَرْوَانَ، ثَنَا عَمِّي جُنَادَةُ بْنُ مَرْوَانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ سَوَّارٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبَّادِ بْنِ شَيْبَانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، بِهِ. 1058 / 7 - قَالَ ابْنُ مَنْدَهْ: وَتَابَعَهُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ شَرِيكٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ، يَعْنِي مِنْ قَوْلِهِ: عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ. قُلْتُ: وَالْأَوَّلُ أَشْبَهُ بِالصَّوَابِ

Translation

✧ And Ibn Mandah said: Al-Hasan b. Mansur al-Imam informed us. 1058/6 - And Ibn al-Sakan said: Muhammad b. Abdullah al-Ta'i informed us, they both said: Al-Walid b. Marwan informed us, my uncle Junadah b. Marwan narrated to us, from his father, from Ash'ath b. Sawwar, from Yahya b. Abbad b. Shayban, from his father, from his grandfather, with it. 1058/7 - Ibn Mandah said: And Abd al-Rahman b. Sharik concurred with him, from his father, from Ash'ath, meaning in his saying: from his father, from his grandfather. I say: The first is more likely correct.
