حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ قَالَ: نَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ قَالَ: نَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ سَوَّارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُبَيْرَةَ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبَّادٍ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ شَيْبَانَ قَالَ:
دَخَلْتُ الْمَسْجِدَ، فَجَلَسْتُ إِلَى حُجْرَةٍ فَتَنَحْنَحْتُ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: أَبُو يَحْيَى، هَلُمَّ إِلَى الْغَدَاءِ، قُلْتُ: إِنِّي صَائِمٌ، قَالَ: " وَأَنَا أُرِيدُ الصَّوْمَ، وَلَكِنَّ مُؤَذِّنَنَا أَذَّنَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَطْلُعَ الْفَجْرُ، وَفِي عَيْنَيْهِ سُوءٌ أَوْ شَيْءٌ

✧ I entered the mosque and sat by a room and cleared my throat. The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Abu Yahya, come to the midday meal.' I said: 'I am fasting.' He said: 'And I intended to fast, but our mu'adhdhin called the adhan before dawn broke, and in his eyes there was some defect or something.'
