✧ Preventing the One in a State of Minor Impurity from Touching the Mushaf

قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ قَالَ:

كَانَ فِي الْكِتَابِ الَّذِي كَتَبَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِعَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ حِينَ بَعَثَهُ إِلَى نَجْرَانَ: « أَنْ لَا يَمَسَّ الْقُرْآنَ إِلَّا طَاهِرٌ، وَلَا يُصَلِّيَ الرَّجُلُ وَهُوَ عَاقِصٌ شَعَرَهُ، وَأَنْ لَا يَحْتَبِيَ وَلَيْسَ بَيْنَ فَرْجِهِ وَبَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ شَيْءٌ

Translation

✧ In the letter that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wrote to 'Amr b. Hazm when he sent him to Najran: 'No one should touch the Qur'an except one who is pure; no man should pray with his hair tied up; and no one should sit with his knees drawn up while there is nothing between his private part and the sky.'
