Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya ibn Said that Said ibn al-Musayyab said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not pray dhuhr and asr on the day of the Trench until after the sun had set." Malik said, "The hadith of al- Qasim ibn Muhammad from Salih ibn Khawwat is the one I like most out of what I have heard about the fear prayer."

machine translationZiyād b. ʿAbdullāh al-Bakkāʾī and ʿAmr b. Hāshim Abū Mālik al-Janbī narrated it from Yaḥyā b. Saʿīd, from Saʿīd b. al-Musayyab, from ʿUmar. But Mālik, Ibn ʿUyaynah, ʿAlī b. Mushir, Muḥammad b. Fuḍayl, Abū Ḥamzah al-Sukkarī and others differed from them, and narrated it from Yaḥyā b. Saʿīd, from Saʿīd b. al-Musayyab as a mursal report (mursal). And this is closer to being correct.
