حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ
لاَ يَزِيدُ فِي الْعُمْرِ إِلاَّ الْبِرُّ وَلاَ يَرُدُّ الْقَدَرَ إِلاَّ الدُّعَاءُ وَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيُحْرَمُ الرِّزْقَ بِالذَّنْبِ يُصِيبُهُ

machine translationThis is a mistake. Sufyān al-Thawrī narrated it from ʿAbdullāh b. ʿĪsā, from ʿAbdullāh b. Abī al-Jaʿd, from Thawbān, from the Prophet ﷺ, and that is the correct (ṣaḥīḥ) version. I said to the two of them: "Sālim b. Abī al-Jaʿd has no place here." They said: "No."
