✧ ʿUthmān b. ʿAffān one day called for water for ablution, and he performed ablution. He washed his palms three times and rinsed his nose, then washed his face three times, then washed his right hand up to the elbow three times, then washed his left hand likewise, then wiped his head, then washed his right foot up to the ankles three times, then washed his left foot likewise. Then he said: I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ perform ablution like this ablution of mine. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Whoever performs ablution like this ablution of mine, then stands and prays two rakʿahs without letting his mind wander in them, his previous sins will be forgiven.
