أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو قُدَامَةَ، وَزِيَادُ بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ أَبُو قُدَامَةَ: قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللهِ، وَقَالَ زِيَادٌ: عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي يَزِيدَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أُمِّ أَيُّوبَ قَالَتْ:

نَزَلَ عَلَيْنَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَتَكَلَّفْنَا لَهُ طَعَامًا فِيهِ بَعْضُ الْبُقُولِ، فَلَمَّا وُضِعَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ، قَالَ لِأَصْحَابِهِ: كُلُوا، فَإِنِّي لَسْتُ كَأَحَدٍ مِنْكُمْ، إِنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ أُوذِيَ صَاحِبِي. وَقَالَ أَبُو قُدَامَةَ: عَنْ أُمِّ أَيُّوبَ: نَزَلْتُ عَلَيْهَا، فَحَدَّثَتْنِي قَالَتْ: نَزَلَ عَلَيْنَا ".

✧ The Prophet ﷺ stayed with us, and we prepared for him some food in which there were some vegetables. When it was placed before him, he said to his companions: Eat, for I am not like any one of you; I fear that I might offend my companion. Abu Qudamah said: From Umm Ayyub: I stayed with her, and she narrated to me, saying: He stayed with us.
