✧ I ate garlic, then I came to the Prophet ﷺ and found that he had preceded me by one rak'a. When he finished the prayer, I stood to make up what I had missed, and he smelled the odor of garlic and said: Whoever eats this vegetable should not come near our mosque until its smell has gone. When I finished the prayer, I went to him and said: O Messenger of God ﷺ I have an excuse; give me your hand. I found him easygoing, so he gave me his hand, and I inserted it from my sleeve to my chest, and he found it bandaged. He said: "You have an excuse."
