The sending of the Prophet ﷺ
وَرَوَى ابْنُ عَسَاكِرَ، مِنْ طَرِيقِ سُوِيدِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ وَمُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: نَزَلَ جِبْرِيلُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِمَا أُرْسِلَ بِهِ، وَجَلَسَ يُحَدِّثُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذْ مَرَّتْ خَدِيجَةُ، فَقَالَ جِبْرِيلُ: مَنْ هَذِهِ يَا مُحَمَّدُ ؟ قَالَ: هَذِهِ صِدِّيقَةُ أُمَّتِي قَالَ جِبْرِيلُ: مَعِي إِلَيْهَا رِسَالَةٌ مِنَ الرَّبِّ، عَزَّ وَجَلَّ، يُقْرِئُهَا السَّلَامَ، وَيُبَشِّرُهَا بِبَيْتٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ مِنْ قَصَبٍ، بَعِيدٍ مِنَ اللَّهَبِ، لَا نَصَبَ فِيهِ وَلَا صَخَبَ. قَالَتِ: اللَّهُ السَّلَامُ، وَمِنْهُ السَّلَامُ، وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمَا، وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ، مَا ذَلِكَ الْبَيْتُ الَّذِي مِنْ قَصَبٍ ؟ قَالَ: لُؤْلُؤَةٌ جَوْفَاءُ بَيْنَ بَيْتِ مَرْيَمَ بِنْتِ عِمْرَانَ، وَبَيْتِ آسِيَةَ بِنْتِ مُزَاحِمٍ، وَهُمَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَأَصْلُ السَّلَامِ عَلَى خَدِيجَةَ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَبِشَارَتِهَا بِبَيْتٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ، مِنْ قَصَبٍ لَا صَخَبَ فِيهِ وَلَا نَصَبَ، فِي " الصَّحِيحِ ".
Translation
✧ Ibn ʿAsākir narrated, from the route of Suwayd b. Saʿīd: Muḥammad b. Ṣāliḥ b. ʿUmar narrated to us, from al-Ḍaḥḥāk and Mujāhid, from Ibn ʿUmar, who said: Jibrīl descended to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with what he was sent with, and sat conversing with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when Khadījah passed by. Jibrīl said: "Who is this, O Muḥammad?" He said: "This is the ṣiddīqah of my nation." Jibrīl said: "I have with me a message to her from the Lord, mighty and majestic be He, conveying to her peace and giving her glad tidings of a house in Paradise of hollow pearl, far from the flame, in which there is no toil and no clamor." She said: "Allah is Peace, and from Him is peace, and peace be upon you both, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings upon the Messenger of Allah. What is that house of hollow pearl?" He said: "A hollow pearl between the house of Maryam bt. ʿImrān and the house of Āsiyah bt. Muzāḥim, and they are among my wives on the Day of Resurrection." The origin of the greeting of peace to Khadījah from Allah and her glad tidings of a house in Paradise of hollow pearl in which there is no clamor and no toil is in the Ṣaḥīḥ.
