Then the year 361 AH began
وَفِيهَا حَجَّ بِالنَّاسِ الشَّرِيفُ أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الْمُوسَوِيُّ النَّقِيبُ عَلَى الطَّالِبِيِّينَ كُلِّهِمْ. وَفِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ: وَرَدَتْ كُتُبُ الْحَاجِّ بِأَنَّ بَنِي هِلَالٍ اعْتَرَضَهُمْ، فَقَتَلُوا خَلْقًا كَثِيرًا، فَتَعَطَّلَ الْحَجُّ، وَلَمْ يَسْلَمْ إِلَّا مَنْ مَضَى مَعَ الشَّرِيفِ أَبِي أَحْمَدَ الْمُوسَوِيِّ عَلَى طَرِيقِ الْمَدِينَةِ، وَتَمَّ حَجُّهُمْ.
Translation
✧ In this year the pilgrimage was led by the Sharif Abu Ahmad al-Musawi, the naqib over all the Talibiyyin. In this year: letters arrived from the pilgrims stating that the Banu Hilal had intercepted them and killed a great many people, so the pilgrimage was disrupted, and no one was safe except those who went with the Sharif Abu Ahmad al-Musawi by way of Madinah, and their pilgrimage was completed.
