Translation
✧ In it, in Shaʿbān: the increase of the water in the Tigris reached nineteen cubits, [and the increase of the Euphrates] reached eleven cubits. A breach burst forth from the districts of al-Anbār, sweeping away the villages and drowning people, beasts, and wild animals. The water poured into the Ṣarāh canal toward Baghdad, [and entered the streets on the western side of Baghdad], and the Street of al-Anbār was flooded, no dwelling remaining in it. Houses and buildings along the Ṣarāh collapsed, and part of the old and new bridge was cut off.
