Then the Year 323 AH Began
( وَفِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ أُطْلِقَ الْمُظَفَّرُ بْنُ يَاقُوتٍ مِنْ حَبْسِ الرَّاضِي بِاللَّهِ بِشَفَاعَةِ الْوَزِيرِ ابْنِ مُقْلَةَ، وَحَلَفَ لِلْوَزِيرِ أَنَّهُ يُوَالِيهِ وَلَا يَنْحَرِفُ عَنْهُ، وَلَا يَسْعَى لَهُ وَلَا لِوَلَدِهِ بِمَكْرُوهٍ، فَلَمْ يَفِ لَهُ ( وَلَا لِوَلَدِهِ ) وَوَافَقَ الْحَجَرِيَّةَ عَلَيْهِ، فَجَرَى فِي حَقِّهِ مَا يَكْرَهُ. وَكَانَ الْمُظَفَّرُ حَقَدَ عَلَى الْوَزِيرِ حِينَ قُتِلَ أَخُوهُ لِأَنَّهُ اتَّهَمَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمَّهُ ).
Translation
✧ (In this year, al-Muẓaffar b. Yāqūt was released from the prison of al-Rāḍī bi-llāh through the intercession of the vizier Ibn Muqlah. He swore to the vizier that he would be loyal to him and would not turn away from him, nor seek any harm for him or his son. But he did not keep his promise to him (nor to his son), and he sided with the Ḥajariyyah against him, so what he disliked came to pass regarding him. Al-Muẓaffar had harbored hatred against the vizier when his brother was killed, because he suspected that he had poisoned him.)
