Tarikh (al-Tabari) 3844
Then the Year 322 AH Began
Translation
✧ In this year a group of the companions of Abū Ṭāhir al-Qurmuṭī traveled to the districts of Tawwaj in ships, and they went out from them to those territories. When they had gone far from the ships, the governor sent word throughout the lands to the ships and burned them, gathered the people, and fought the Qarāmiṭa, killing some and capturing others, among them Ibn al-Ghamr, who was one of their chief propagandists. He sent them to Baghdādh (during the days of al-Qāhir), and they entered it publicly and were imprisoned. Their affair was what we mentioned regarding the deposition of al-Qāhir.
