Then the Year 321 AH Began
وَفِيهَا وَرَدَ الْخَبَرُ إِلَى بَغْدَاذَ بِوَفَاةِ تِكِينَ الْخَاصَّةِ بِمِصْرَ، وَكَانَ أَمِيرًا عَلَيْهَا، فَوَلِيَ مَكَانَهُ ابْنُهُ مُحَمَّدٌ، وَأَرْسَلَ لَهُ الْقَاهِرُ بِاللَّهِ الْخِلَعَ، وَثَارَ الْجُنْدُ بِمِصْرَ، فَقَاتَلَهُمْ مُحَمَّدٌ وَظَفَرَ بِهِمْ.
Translation
✧ In this year, news reached Baghdad of the death of Tikīn al-Khāṣṣah in Egypt, where he had been governor. His son Muḥammad succeeded him in his place, and al-Qāhir bi-llāh sent him robes of honor. The troops in Egypt revolted, but Muḥammad fought them and gained victory over them.
