قَالَ الْبُخَارِيُّ بسنده عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ صَلَاةَ الصُّبْحِ، ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَى النَّاسِ فَقَالَ: بَيْنَا رَجُلٌ يَسُوقُ بَقَرَةً إِذْ رَكِبَهَا فَضَرَبَهَا فَقَالَتْ: إِنَّا لَمْ نُخْلَقْ لِهَذَا، إِنَّمَا خُلِقْنَا لِلْحَرْثِ فَقَالَ النَّاسُ: سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ بَقَرَةٌ تَكَلَّمُ ! فَقَالَ: فَإِنِّي أُومِنُ بِهَذَا أَنَا وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ - وَمَا هُمَا ثَمَّ -. وَبَيْنَمَا رَجُلٌ فِي غَنَمِهِ إِذْ عَدَا الذِّئْبُ فَذَهَبَ مِنْهَا بِشَاةٍ فَطَلَبَ حَتَّى كَأَنَّهُ اسْتَنْقَذَهَا مِنْهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ الذِّئْبُ: هَذَا اسْتَنْقَذْتَهَا مِنِّي ! فَمَنْ لَهَا يَوْمَ السَّبُعِ، يَوْمَ لَا رَاعِيَ لَهَا غَيْرِي ؟ فَقَالَ النَّاسُ: سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ ذِئْبٌ يَتَكَلَّمُ ! قَالَ فَإِنِّي أُومِنُ بِهَذَا أَنَا وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ - وَمَا هُمَا. : وعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِمِثْلِهِ.
Translation
✧ Al-Bukhārī said with his chain of transmission on the authority of Abū Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ prayed the morning prayer, then turned to the people and said: While a man was driving a cow, he mounted it and struck it. It said: “We were not created for this; we were created only for plowing.” The people said: “Glory be to Allāh! A cow speaking!” He said: “Indeed I believe in this—I, Abū Bakr, and ʿUmar—though they were not there.” And while a man was among his sheep, a wolf attacked and took one of them away. He pursued it until he seemed to have rescued it from the wolf. The wolf said to him: “You have rescued this one from me! But who will protect it on the day of the beast, the day when there is no shepherd for it but me?” The people said: “Glory be to Allāh! A wolf speaking!” He said: “Indeed I believe in this—I, Abū Bakr, and ʿUmar—though they were not there.” : And on the authority of Abū Hurayrah from the Prophet ﷺ something similar.
