مَنْ تُوُفِّيَ فِي سَنَةُ أَرْبَعَ عَشْرَةَ وَثَلَاثِمِائَةٍ مِنَ الْأَكَابِرِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ هَارُونَ، أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْجَسْرِيُّ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ هَارُونَ، أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْجَسْرِيُّ: كَانَ ثِقَةً يَحْفَظُ، وَحَدَّثَ بِمِصْرَ، وَتُوُفِّيَ بِهَا فِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ. إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْخَلِيلِ، أَبُو يَعْقُوبَ الْجَلَّابُ إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْخَلِيلِ، أَبُو يَعْقُوبَ الْجَلَّابُ: سَمِعَ أَبَا بَكْرٍ، وَعُثْمَانَ ابْنَيْ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ. رَوَى عَنْهُ ابْنُ شَاهِينَ. وَكَانَ ثِقَةً. وَتُوُفِّيَ غُرَّةَ شَعْبَانَ فِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ، وَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ أَبُو عُمَرَ الْقَاضِي. ثَابِتُ بْنُ حَزْمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مُطَرِّفِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَحْيَى، أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ الْعَوْفِيُّ ثَابِتُ بْنُ حَزْمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مُطَرِّفِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَحْيَى، أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ الْعَوْفِيُّ: مِنْ أَهْلِ سَرَقُسْطَةَ، يُنْسَبُ إِلَى عَوْفِ بْنِ غَطَفَانَ، وَهُوَ عَوْفُ بْنُ سَعْدِ بْنِ ذُبْيَانَ، وَقَوْمٌ يَنْسُبُونَ عَوْفًا إِلَى قُرَيْشٍ، وَيَذْكُرُ الْعَوْفِيُّ نَسَبَهُ إِلَى رَهْطِ عَطِيَّةَ الْعَوْفِيِّ مِنْ بَنِي سَعْدِ بْنِ بَكْرٍ، وَهُمْ حَضَنَةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ، رَحَلَ ثَابِتٌ، وَطَلَبَ الْعِلْمَ، وَتَوَلَّى قَضَاءَ سَرَقُسْطَةَ. وَتُوُفِّيَ بِالْأَنْدَلُسِ فِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ. الْحَسَنُ بْنُ صَاحِبِ، بْنِ حُمَيْدٍ، أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الشَّاسِيُّ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ صَاحِبِ، بْنِ حُمَيْدٍ، أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الشَّاسِيُّ. أَحَدُ الرَّحَّالِينَ كَتَبَ بِبِلَادِ خُرَاسَانَ وَالْجِبَالِ وَالْعِرَاقِ وَالْحِجَازِ وَالشَّامِ، وَقَدِمَ بَغْدَادَ فِي سَنَةِ إِحْدَى عَشْرَةَ وَثَلَاثِمِائَةٍ، فَحَدَّثَ بِهَا عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ خَشْرَمٍ، وَإِسْحَاقَ بْنِ مَنْصُورٍ، وَأَبِي زُرْعَةَ وَغَيْرِهِمْ. رَوَى عَنْهُ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْجِعَابِيُّ، وَابْنُ الْمُظَفَّرِ. وَكَانَ ثِقَةً. تُوُفِّيَ بِالشَّاشِ فِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ. سَعِيدٌ النُّوبِيُّ سَعِيدٌ النُّوبِيُّ: صَاحِبُ بَابِ النُّوبِيِّ مِنْ دَارِ السُّلْطَانِ، تُوُفِّيَ فِي صَفَرٍ، وَأُقِيمَ مَكَانَهُ أَخُوهُ فَضْلٌ. الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، أَبُو الْفَضْلِ الشِّكْلِيُّ الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، أَبُو الْفَضْلِ الشِّكْلِيُّ: حَدَّثَ عَنْ سَرِيٍّ السَّقَطِيِّ. رَوَى عَنْهُ ابْنُ شَاهِينَ. وَكَانَ صَالِحًا مُتَنَسِّكًا، تُوُفِّيَ فِي شَهْرِ رَجَبٍ مِنْ هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ. مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ زِيَادِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ الرَّازِيُّ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ زِيَادِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ الرَّازِيُّ: كَانَ جَوَّالًا، وَحَدَّثَ بِبَغْدَادَ وَمِصْرَ وَطَرَسُوسَ، وَسَكَنَ قَرْمِيسِينَ، وَعُمِّرَ طَوِيلًا، وَكَانَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ مَعِينٍ، وَعُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ الْقَوَارِيرِيِّ، وَخَلْقٍ كَثِيرٍ. رَوَى عَنْهُ ابْنُ صَاعِدٍ، وَالْجِعَابِيُّ، وَجَعْفَرٌ الْخُلْدِيُّ، وَغَيْرُهُمْ. وعن أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، قَالَ: قَرَأْتُ فِي كِتَابِ الدَّارَقُطْنِيِّ بِخَطِّهِ: مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ زِيَادٍ مَتْرُوكٌ. وَفِي مَوْضِعٍ آخَرَ: ضَعِيفٌ، وَسَأَلْتُ عَنْهُ الْبَرْقَانِيَّ، فَقَالَ: بِئْسَ الرَّجُلُ. مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ بَكْرِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ الْبَزَّازُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ بَكْرِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ الْبَزَّازُ: وَيُعْرَفُ بِابْنِ الْخَوَارِزْمِيِّ، سَمِعَ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَأَحْمَدَ بْنَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيَّ، وَعَمْرَو بْنَ عَلِيٍّ، وَغَيْرَهُمْ. رَوَى عَنْهُ ابْنُ شَاهِينَ، وَغَيْرَهُ. وَتُوُفِّيَ فِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ. مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَسَنٍ، أَبُو بَكْرٍ الضَّرِيرُ الْوَاعِظُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَسَنٍ، أَبُو بَكْرٍ الضَّرِيرُ الْوَاعِظُ: قَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ يُونُسَ: هُوَ بَغْدَادِيٌّ قَدِمَ الْبَصْرَةَ، وَكَانَ مِنْ حُفَّاظِ الْقُرْآنِ، حَسَنَ الصَّوْتِ، وَكَانَ يَقْعُدُ فِي الْجَامِعِ وَيَقْرَأُ بِالْأَلْحَانِ، وَيَقَعُ كَلَامُهُ فِي الْقُلُوبِ، وَكَانَ كَرِيمًا. تُوُفِّيَ بِمِصْرَ فِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ. مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَاهِلِيُّ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَاهِلِيُّ: بَغْدَادِيٌّ حَدَّثَ عَنْ أَبِي عُمَرَ الدُّورِيِّ، وَأَحْمَدَ الدَّوْرَقِيِّ وَغَيْرِهِمَا، وَكَانَ ثِقَةً ثَبْتًا مُتَزَهِّدًا مِنْ أَهْلِ الصِّيَانَةِ. وَتُوُفِّيَ بِمِصْرَ فِي رَبِيعٍ الْآخَرِ مِنْ هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ. نَصْرُ [بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ نَصْرِ ] بْنِ زَيْدٍ، أَبُو اللَّيْثِ الْفَرَائِضِيُّ نَصْرُ [بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ نَصْرِ ] بْنِ زَيْدٍ، أَبُو اللَّيْثِ الْفَرَائِضِيُّ: سَمِعَ عُبَيْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ الْقَوَارِيرِيَّ. رَوَى عَنْهُ ابْنُ شَاهِينَ وَكَانَ ثِقَةً عَالِمًا بِالْفَرَائِضِ، فَقِيهًا عَلَى مَذْهَبِ أَبِي حَنِيفَةَ، مُقْرِئًا جَلِيلًا. تُوُفِّيَ فِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ. وَمِمَّنْ تُوُفِّيَ فِيهَا مِنَ الْأَعْيَانِ: مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ لُبَابَةَ الْقُرْطُبِيُّ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ لُبَابَةَ الْقُرْطُبِيُّ.

✧ Those of the notables who died in the year 314 AH Aḥmad b. Muḥammad b. Hārūn, Abū ʿAbd Allāh al-Jasrī Aḥmad b. Muḥammad b. Hārūn, Abū ʿAbd Allāh al-Jasrī: He was trustworthy, possessed of a retentive memory. He related in Miṣr and died there in this year. Isḥāq b. Ibrāhīm b. al-Khalīl, Abū Yaʿqūb al-Jallāb Isḥāq b. Ibrāhīm b. al-Khalīl, Abū Yaʿqūb al-Jallāb: He heard Abū Bakr and ʿUthmān, the two sons of Abī Shaybah. Ibn Shāhīn related from him. He was trustworthy. He died on the first of Shaʿbān in this year, and Abū ʿUmar al-Qāḍī prayed over him. Thābit b. Ḥazm b. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Muṭarrif b. Sulaymān b. Yaḥyā, Abū al-Qāsim al-ʿAwfī Thābit b. Ḥazm b. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Muṭarrif b. Sulaymān b. Yaḥyā, Abū al-Qāsim al-ʿAwfī: From the people of Saraqusṭah. He traced his lineage to ʿAwf b. Ghaṭafān, who is ʿAwf b. Saʿd b. Dhubyān. Some people trace ʿAwf to Quraysh. Al-ʿAwfī mentioned his lineage to the kin of ʿAṭiyyah al-ʿAwfī of Banū Saʿd b. Bakr, who were the foster family of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Thābit travelled, sought knowledge, and took charge of the judiciary of Saraqusṭah. He died in al-Andalus in this year. Al-Ḥasan b. Ṣāḥib b. Ḥumayd, Abū ʿAlī al-Shāsī al-Ḥasan b. Ṣāḥib b. Ḥumayd, Abū ʿAlī al-Shāsī: One of the great travellers. He wrote in the lands of Khurāsān, al-Jibāl, al-ʿIrāq, al-Ḥijāz, and al-Shām. He came to Baghdād in the year 311 AH and related there from ʿAlī b. Khashram, Isḥāq b. Manṣūr, Abū Zurʿah, and others. Abū Bakr al-Jiʿābī and Ibn al-Muẓaffar related from him. He was trustworthy. He died in al-Shāsh in this year. Saʿīd al-Nūbī Saʿīd al-Nūbī: Keeper of the Nubian Gate of the Sultan's palace. He died in Ṣafar, and his brother Faḍl was appointed in his place. Al-ʿAbbās b. Yūsuf, Abū al-Faḍl al-Shiklī al-ʿAbbās b. Yūsuf, Abū al-Faḍl al-Shiklī: He related from Sarī al-Saqaṭī. Ibn Shāhīn related from him. He was righteous and devout. He died in the month of Rajab of this year. Muḥammad b. Ibrāhīm b. Ziyād b. ʿAbd Allāh, Abū ʿAbd Allāh al-Ṭayālisī al-Rāzī Muḥammad b. Ibrāhīm b. Ziyād b. ʿAbd Allāh, Abū ʿAbd Allāh al-Ṭayālisī al-Rāzī: He was a great wanderer. He related in Baghdād, Miṣr, and Ṭarsūs. He resided in Qarmīsīn and lived long. He related from Yaḥyā b. Maʿīn, ʿUbayd Allāh b. ʿUmar al-Qawārīrī, and many others. Ibn Ṣāʿid, al-Jiʿābī, Jaʿfar al-Khuldī, and others related from him. And from Aḥmad b. ʿAlī b. Thābit, who said: I read in the book of al-Dāraquṭnī in his own handwriting: Muḥammad b. Ibrāhīm b. Ziyād is matrūk (abandoned). And in another place: ḍaʿīf (weak). I asked al-Barqānī about him, and he said: "What an evil man." Muḥammad b. Jaʿfar b. Bakr b. Ibrāhīm, Abū al-Ḥusayn al-Bazzāz Muḥammad b. Jaʿfar b. Bakr b. Ibrāhīm, Abū al-Ḥusayn al-Bazzāz: Known as Ibn al-Khawārizmī. He heard ʿUthmān b. Abī Shaybah, Aḥmad b. Ibrāhīm al-Dawraqī, ʿAmr b. ʿAlī, and others. Ibn Shāhīn and others related from him. He died in this year. Muḥammad b. Ḥasan, Abū Bakr al-Ḍarīr al-Wāʿiẓ Muḥammad b. Ḥasan, Abū Bakr al-Ḍarīr al-Wāʿiẓ: Abū Saʿīd b. Yūnus said: He was a Baghdādī who came to al-Baṣrah. He was one of the memorizers of the Qurʾān, with a beautiful voice. He used to sit in the mosque and recite with melodies, and his words fell upon hearts. He was generous. He died in Miṣr in this year. Muḥammad b. Muḥammad b. ʿAbd Allāh al-Bāhilī Muḥammad b. Muḥammad b. ʿAbd Allāh al-Bāhilī: A Baghdādī. He related from Abū ʿUmar al-Dūrī, Aḥmad al-Dawraqī, and others. He was trustworthy, reliable, ascetic, and of guarded conduct. He died in Miṣr in Rabīʿ al-Ākhir of this year. Naṣr [b. al-Qāsim b. Naṣr] b. Zayd, Abū al-Layth al-Farāʾiḍī Naṣr [b. al-Qāsim b. Naṣr] b. Zayd, Abū al-Layth al-Farāʾiḍī: He heard ʿUbayd Allāh b. ʿUmar al-Qawārīrī. Ibn Shāhīn related from him. He was trustworthy, learned in the laws of inheritance, a jurist upon the school of Abū Ḥanīfah, and an eminent Qurʾān reciter. He died in this year. And among the eminent figures who died in it: Muḥammad b. ʿUmar b. Lubābah al-Qurṭubī and Muḥammad b. ʿUmar b. Lubābah al-Qurṭubī.
