وَفِي سنة اثْنَتَيْنِ وَثَلَاثِمِائَةٍ تَنَحَّى الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْأُطْرُوشُ الْعَلَوِيُّ عَنْ آمُلٍ، بَعْدَ غَلَبَتِهِ عَلَيْهَا، وَسَارَ إِلَى سَالُوسَ، وَوَجَّهَ إِلَيْهِ صُعْلُوكٌ جَيْشًا مِنَ الرَّيِّ فَلَقِيَهُمُ الْحَسَنُ، وَهَزَمَهُمْ، وَعَادَ إِلَى آمُلَ. وَكَانَ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ حَسَنَ السِّيرَةِ، عَادِلًا، وَلَمْ يَرَ النَّاسُ مِثْلَهُ فِي عَدْلِهِ وَحُسْنِ سِيرَتِهِ، وَإِقَامَتِهِ الْحَقَّ، وَقَدْ ذَكَرَهُ ابْنُ مِسْكَوَيْهِ فِي كِتَابِ " تَجَارِبِ الْأُمَمِ " فَقَالَ: الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الدَّاعِي، وَلَيْسَ بِهِ، إِنَّمَا الدَّاعِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ، وَهُوَ خَتَنُ هَذَا عَلَى مَا ذَكَرْنَاهُ.
Translation
✧ In the year 312 AH, al-Ḥasan b. ʿAlī al-Uṭrūsh al-ʿAlawī withdrew from Āmul, after his victory over it, and marched to Sālūs. Ṣuʿlūk sent an army against him from al-Rayy, and al-Ḥasan met them, defeated them, and returned to Āmul. Al-Ḥasan b. ʿAlī was of good conduct, just, and the people had not seen his like in his justice, good conduct, and upholding of the truth. Ibn Miskawayh mentioned him in his book "Tajārib al-Umam" and said: Al-Ḥasan b. ʿAlī al-Dāʿī, and it is not he; rather, the Dāʿī is ʿAlī b. al-Qāsim, and he is the son-in-law of this one, as we have mentioned.
