Translation
✧ In the year two hundred and seventy-seven, Yāzamān in Ṭarsūs called for Khumārawayh b. Aḥmad b. Ṭūlūn. The reason for that was that Khumārawayh sent him thirty thousand dinars, five hundred garments, five hundred cloaks, and much weaponry. When it reached him, he called for him, then he sent back to him fifty thousand dinars. In it, in Rabīʿ al-Ākhir, there occurred between Waṣīf, the servant of Ibn Abī al-Sājj, and the Berbers, the followers of Abū al-Ṣaqr, a fitnah. They fought, and a group among them was killed. That was at the Gate of Syria. So Abū al-Ṣaqr rode out and dispersed them. In it, Yūsuf b. Yaʿqūb was appointed over the maẓālim, and he commanded a herald to proclaim: 'Whoever has a grievance against the Amīr al-Nāṣir li-Dīn Allāh al-Muwaffaq, or against anyone among the people, let him appear.' In it, in Shaʿbān, a great commander from the commanders of Khumārawayh b. Aḥmad b. Ṭūlūn arrived in Baghdādh with a great army. And Hārūn b. Muḥammad b. ʿĪsā al-Hāshimī led the people in the pilgrimage.
