Then the Year 126 AH Began
ذِكْرُ عِدَّةِ حَوَادِثَ فِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ عَزَلَ يَزِيدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ يُوسُفَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ عَنِ الْمَدِينَةِ، وَاسْتَعْمَلَ عَبْدَ الْعَزِيزِ بْنَ عَمْرِو بْنِ عُثْمَانَ، فَقَدَّمَهَا فِي ذِي الْقَعْدَةِ مِنَ السَّنَةِ. وَحَجَّ بِالنَّاسِ عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، وَقِيلَ: عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ. وَكَانَ الْعَامِلَ عَلَى الْعِرَاقِ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، وَعَلَى قَضَاءِ الْكُوفَةِ ابْنُ أَبِي لَيْلَى، وَعَلَى الْبَصْرَةِ الْمُسَوَّرُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبَّادٍ، وَعَلَى قَضَائِهَا عَامِرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدَةَ، وَعَلَى خُرَاسَانَ نَصْرُ بْنُ سَيَّارٍ الْكِنَانِيُّ.
Translation
✧ Mention of several events In this year, Yazīd b. al-Walīd dismissed Yūsuf b. Muḥammad b. Yūsuf from Madinah and appointed ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz b. ʿAmr b. ʿUthmān, who arrived there in Dhū al-Qaʿdah of the year. ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz b. ʿUmar b. ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz led the people in the pilgrimage; it is also said: ʿUmar b. ʿAbd Allāh b. ʿAbd al-Malik. The governor of Iraq was ʿAbd Allāh b. ʿUmar b. ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz; the qāḍī of Kufa was Ibn Abī Laylā; the governor of Basra was al-Musawwar b. ʿUmar b. ʿAbbād, with ʿĀmir b. ʿUbaydah as its qāḍī; and the governor of Khurāsān was Naṣr b. Sayyār al-Kinānī.
