ذِكْرُ مَنْ تُوُفِّيَ فِي سنة خمس عشرة ومائة مِنَ الْأَكَابِرِ خِيَارُ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ خِيَارُ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ، أَبُو نَضْلَةَ الْمُدْلِجِيُّ : قَاضِي مِصْرَ لِهِشَامِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ، كَانَ رَجُلًا صَالِحًا. عَمْرُو بْنُ مَرْوَانَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَمْرُو بْنُ مَرْوَانَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ، أَبُو حَفْصٍ: لَمْ يَكُنْ فِي بَنِي أُمَيَّةَ بِمِصْرَ فِي أَيَّامِهِ أَفْضَلَ مِنْهُ. كَانَ خُلَفَاءُ بَنِي أُمَيَّةَ يَكْتُبُونَ إِلَى أُمَرَاءِ مِصْرَ لَا تَعْصُوا لَهُ أَمْرًا. وَكَانَ يَأْتِي عَجَائِزَ كُنَّ فِي خَرَابِ الْمَعَافِرِ، فَيُدْفَعُ إِلَيْهِنَّ مَا يَكْفِيهِنَّ طُوَالَ السَّنَةِ. رَوَى عَنْهُ: يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ وَغَيْرِهِ.
Translation
✧ Mention of those who died in the year one hundred and fifteen among the notables Khiyār b. Khālid b. ʿAbd Allāh b. Muʿādh Khiyār b. Khālid b. ʿAbd Allāh b. Muʿādh, Abū Naḍla al-Mudlijī: Judge of Egypt for Hishām b. ʿAbd al-Malik. He was a righteous man. ʿAmr b. Marwān b. al-Ḥakam ʿAmr b. Marwān b. al-Ḥakam, Abū Ḥafṣ: There was none among the Banū Umayya in Egypt in his days more virtuous than him. The caliphs of the Banū Umayya used to write to the governors of Egypt: Do not disobey any command of his. He used to go to old women who were in the ruins of al-Maʿāfir, and give them what sufficed them throughout the year. Those who narrated from him: Yazīd b. Abī Ḥabīb and others.
