The wives of the Prophet, blessings and peace of Allah be upon him, and ᴿᴬ
زَوْجَاتُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ وَسَلَامُهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ ؓ: وَقَدْ ذَكَرَ الْعُلَمَاءُ زَوْجَاتِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَعَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ: " تَزَوَّجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِخَمْسَ عَشْرَةَ امْرَأَةً ، دَخَلَ مِنْهُنَّ بِثَلَاثَ عَشْرَةَ، وَاجْتَمَعَ عِنْدَهُ إِحْدَى عَشْرَةَ، وَمَاتَ عَنْ تِسْعٍ. ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ هَؤُلَاءِ التِّسْعَ اللَّاتِي ذَكَرْنَاهُنَّ، ؓ ". وَقَدْ بَسَطَ الْعُلَمَاءُ فِي الْكَلَامِ عَلَى زَوَاجِهِ مِنْ كُلِّ وَاحِدَةٍ مِنْهُنَّ ؓ، وَقَدْ كَانَ لَهُ ﷺ جَارِيَتَيْنِ هُمَا: مَارِيَّةُ أُمُّ وَلَدِهِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ؓ، وَرَيْحَانَةُ ؓ. وَصَلِّ اللَّهُ وَسَلِّمْ وَبَارِكْ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَأَزْوَاجِهِ وَسَلِّمْ.
Translation
✧ The wives of the Prophet, blessings and peace of Allah be upon him, and ؓ: Scholars have mentioned the wives of the Prophet ﷺ. On the authority of Qatādah, he said: “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ married fifteen women; he consummated marriage with thirteen of them; eleven were gathered with him at one time; and he died leaving nine.” Then he mentioned those nine whom we have mentioned, ؓ. Scholars have elaborated on the discussion of his marriage to each one of them, ؓ. He ﷺ had two concubines: Māriyah, the mother of his son Ibrāhīm, ؓ, and Rayḥānah, ؓ. May Allah bless and grant peace and barakah upon the Prophet, may Allah bless him and his family and his wives, and grant peace.
