The Expedition of Khaybar
رُجُوعِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ مُؤَيَّدًا مَنْصُورًا ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ رَاجِعًا إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ بَعْدَ أَنْ فَرَغَ مِنْ خَيْبَرَ وَوَادِي الْقُرَى، وَغَنَّمَهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ. رَوَى الْأَئِمَّةُ السِّتَّةُ عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيِّ ؓ قَالَ: أَشْرَفَ النَّاسُ عَلَى وَادٍ، فَرَفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَهُمْ بِالتَّكْبِيرِ: «اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ» فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «ارْبَعُوا عَلَى أَنْفُسِكُمْ إِنَّكُمْ لَا تَدْعُونَ أَصَمَّ وَلَا غَائِبًا، إِنَّكُمْ تَدْعُونَ سَمِيعًا قَرِيبًا، وَهُوَ مَعَكُمْ» وَأَنَا خَلْفَ دَابَّةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَسَمِعَنِي وَأَنَا أَقُولُ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيمِ، فَقَالَ: «يَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ قَيْسٍ» قُلْتُ: لَبَّيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فِدَاكَ أَبِي وَأُمِّي، قَالَ: «أَلَا أَدُلَّكَ عَلَى كَلِمَةٍ مِنْ كَنْزِ الْجَنَّةِ ؟ » قُلْتُ: بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، فِدَاكَ أَبِي وَأُمِّي، قَالَ: «لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ». وَلَمَّا انْتَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِلَى الْجَرْفِ لَيْلًا، نَهَى أَنْ يَطْرُقَ الرَّجُلُ أَهْلَهُ لَيْلًا، فَذَهَبَ رَجُلٌ فَطَرَقَ أَهْلَهُ، فَرَأَى مَا يَكْرَهُ فَخَلَّى سَبِيلَهُ وَلَمْ يَهْجُرْ، وَضَنَّ بِزَوْجَتِهِ أَنْ يُفَارِقَهَا، وَكَانَ لَهُ مِنْهَا أَوْلَادٌ، وَكَانَ يُحِبُّهَا، فَعَصَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَرَأَى مَا يَكْرَهُ. وَلَمَّا نَظَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِلَى جَبَلِ أُحُدٍ، قَالَ: هَذَا جَبَلٌ يُحِبُّنَا وَنُحِبُّهُ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أُحَرِّمُ مَا بَيْنَ لَابَتَيِ الْمَدِينَةِ». واخْتُلِفَ فِي مُدَّةِ إِقَامَتِهِ ﷺ بِأَرْضِ خَيْبَرَ، فَرَوَى الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَقَامَ بِخَيْبَرَ سِتَّةَ أَشْهُرٍ، يَجْمَعُ بَيْنَ الصَّلَاتَيْنِ. وَرَوَى الْبَيْهَقِيُّ عَنْهُ: أَرْبَعِينَ يَوْمًا، وَسَنَدَهُ ضَعِيفٌ. وَقَالَ ابْنُ إِسْحَاقَ.....
Translation
✧ The return of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to Madinah supported and victorious Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ departed, returning to Madinah after he had finished with Khaybar and Wādī al-Qurā, and Allah, Mighty and Majestic, granted him spoil. The six imams narrated from Abū Mūsā al-Ashʿarī ؓ who said: The people overlooked a valley and raised their voices with takbīr: “Allāhu akbar, Allāhu akbar, lā ilāha illā Allāh.” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Have mercy on yourselves, for you are not calling upon one who is deaf or absent; you are calling upon one who is hearing and near, and He is with you.” I was behind the mount of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he heard me saying: “There is no power and no strength except with Allah, the Most High, the Most Great.” He said: “O ʿAbd Allāh b. Qays.” I said: “At your service, O Messenger of Allah, may my father and mother be your ransom.” He said: “Shall I not direct you to a word from the treasure of Paradise?” I said: “Yes, O Messenger of Allah, may my father and mother be your ransom.” He said: “There is no power and no strength except with Allah.” When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ reached al-Jurf at night, he forbade a man from coming to his family at night. A man went and came to his family, and he saw what he disliked, so he let his way be and did not abandon her, and he was reluctant to part with his wife, and he had children from her and loved her, so he disobeyed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and saw what he disliked. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ looked at Mount Uḥud, he said: “This is a mountain that loves us and we love it. O Allah, I declare inviolable what lies between the two lava tracts of Madinah.” There is disagreement concerning the duration of his ﷺ stay in the land of Khaybar. Al-Ṭabarānī narrated in al-Awsaṭ from Ibn ʿAbbās ؓ that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stayed in Khaybar for six months, combining the two prayers. Al-Bayhaqī narrated from him: forty days, and its chain is weak. Ibn Isḥāq said.....
