The Expedition of Banū Qaynuqāʿ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took from their weapons three bows: a bow called al-Katūm, which was broken at Uḥud; a bow called al-Rawḥāʾ; and a bow called al-Bayḍāʾ. He also took two coats of mail: one called al-Ṣughdiyya and another of silver; and three spears; and three swords: a Qalʿī sword, a sword called Battār, and another unnamed. He found in their dwellings abundant weapons and tools for goldsmithing. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took his ṣafī (chosen share) and the fifth, and distributed the remaining four-fifths among his Companions. This was the first fifth after Badr. The one who took charge of their wealth was Muḥammad b. Maslama.
