✧ Allah is a just judge, blessed be His name. Those who doubt are destroyed. Indeed, after you there will be tribulations in which wealth abounds and the Quran is opened, until the man, the woman, the free, the slave, the young, and the old take it. Soon a man will read the Quran and say: 'I have read the Quran, so why do the people not follow me, though I have read the Quran?' Then he will say: 'They will not follow me until I innovate for them something other than it.' So beware of what he innovates, for what he innovates is misguidance. Beware of the slip of the wise man, for Satan puts misguidance on the tongue of the wise man and puts a word of truth on the tongue of the hypocrite.' We said: 'What makes you know, may Allah have mercy on you, that the hypocrite is given a word of truth and that Satan puts a word of misguidance on the tongue of the wise man?' He said: 'Avoid from the speech of the wise man every ambiguous thing which, when you hear it, you say, "What is this?" And no one explains it to you. Perhaps he will retract and speak the truth, so listen to him, for upon the truth there is light.'
