✧ A man from the enemies of the Muslims in al-Andalus called Dhu al-'Urf will gather a great assembly from the tribes of polytheism. Those in al-Andalus will know that they have no strength, so the strong people among the Muslims will flee in ships and cross to Tangier. The weak people and their community will remain, having no ships to cross on. Then Allah ﷻ will send an ibex, and it will cross for them in the sea. The ibex will cross, and the water will not cover its hooves. The people will see it and say: 'The ibex! The ibex! Follow it!' So the people will all cross following its tracks. Then the sea will return to what it was, and the enemy will cross in ships. When the people of Ifriqiyah sense them, they will all flee from Ifriqiyah, and with them those Muslims who were in al-Andalus, until they enter al-Fustat. That enemy will advance until they camp between Maryut and the Pyramids, a distance of five barids, and they will fill that area with evil. Then the banner of the Muslims will go out to them on the bridge, and Allah will grant them victory over them. They will defeat them and kill them as far as Alulabah, a distance of ten nights. The people of al-Fustat will use their carts and equipment as firewood for seven years. Dhu al-'Urf will escape the killing, and with him is a book which he does not look into except while he is defeated. He will find in it mention of Islam and that he is commanded in it to enter into peace. He will ask for safety for himself and for those of his companions who respond to Islam, those who came with him. He will become Muslim and so become one of the Muslims. Then in the second year a man from Abyssinia called Asis will come, having gathered a great assembly. The Muslims will flee from them from Aswan until no Muslim remains in it or below it except that he enters al-Fustat. Asis will camp with his army at Manf, which is at the head of a barid from al-Fustat. The banner of the Muslims will go out to them on the bridge, and Allah will grant them victory over them. They will kill them and take them captive until a black man is sold for a cloak.
