أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ الشَّعْرَانِيُّ ثنا جَدِّي ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَوْنٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثنا هُشَيْمٌ عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ قَالَ

«إِنِّي لَأَعْلَمُ النَّاسِ بِوَقْتِ هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةِ صَلَاةِ الْعِشَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّيهَا لِسُقُوطِ الْقَمَرِ لِثَالِثَةٍ» تَابَعَهُ رَقَبَةُ بْنُ مَصْقَلَةَ عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ هَكَذَا اتَّفَقَ رَقَبَةُ وَهُشَيْمٌ عَلَى رِوَايَةِ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ وَهُوَ إِسْنَادٌ صَحِيحٌ وَخَالَفَهُمَا شُعْبَةُ وَأَبُو عَوَانَةَ فَقَالَا عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ عَنْ بِشْرِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ وإسناده صحيح

Translation

  2. ʿAmr b. ʿAwn al-Wāsiṭī
  3. Hushaym
  4. Abū Bishr
  5. Ḥabīb b. Sālim
  6. al-Nuʿmān b. Bashīr

✧ 'I am the most knowledgeable of people about the time of this prayer, the last Isha prayer. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray it at the setting of the moon for the third night.' Raqabah b. Masqalah concurred with Abu Bishr in this manner. Raqabah and Hushaym agreed on the narration of this hadith from Abu Bishr, from Habib b. Salim, and it is a sound chain. Shu'bah and Abu Awanah differed from them and said: from Abu Bishr, from Bishr b. Thabit, from Habib b. Salim, and its chain is sound.
