عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ:
أَتَى جَبْرَئِيلُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ حِينَ زَاغَتِ الشَّمْسُ، فَقَالَ لَهُ: قُمْ فَصَلِّ، فَصَلَّى الظُّهْرَ، ثُمَّ جَاءَ حِينَ كَانَ ظِلُّ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ مِثْلَهُ، فَقَالَ: قُمْ فَصَلِّ، فَصَلَّى الْعَصْرَ، ثُمَّ جَاءَهُ حِينَ غَابَتِ الشَّمْسُ، وَدَخَلَ اللَّيْلُ، فَقَالَ: قُمْ فَصَلِّ، فَصَلَّى الْمَغْرِبَ، ثُمَّ جَاءَهُ حِينَ غَابَ الشَّفَقُ، فَقَالَ لَهُ: قُمْ فَصَلِّ، فَصَلَّى الْعِشَاءَ، ثُمَّ جَاءَهُ حِينَ أَضَاءَ الْفَجْرُ، فَقَالَ: قُمْ فَصَلِّ الْفَجْرَ، ثُمَّ جَاءَهُ الْغَدَ حِينَ كَانَ ظِلُّ [كُلِّ] [كُلِّ] شَيْءٍ مِثْلَيْهِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ: قُمْ فَصَلِّ، فَصَلَّى الْعَصْرَ، ثُمَّ جَاءَهُ حِينَ غَابَتِ الشَّمْسُ، وَدَخَلَ اللَّيْلُ، فَقَالَ: قُمْ فَصَلِّ، فَصَلَّى الْمَغْرِبَ، ثُمَّ جَاءَهُ حِينَ ذَهَبَ ثُلُثُ اللَّيْلِ، فَقَالَ: قُمْ فَصَلِّ، فَصَلَّى الْعِشَاءَ، ثُمَّ جَاءَ حِينَ أَسْفَرَ فَقَالَ لَهُ: قُمْ فَصَلِّ، فَصَلَّى الْفَجْرَ، ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهُ: هَذِهِ صَلَاةُ النَّبِيِّينَ قَبْلَكَ فَالْزَمْ
Translation
✧ Gabriel came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when the sun had declined and said to him: Stand and pray. So he prayed Zuhr. Then he came when the shadow of every thing was equal to it and said: Stand and pray. So he prayed Asr. Then he came to him when the sun had set and night had entered, and said: Stand and pray. So he prayed Maghrib. Then he came to him when the twilight had disappeared and said to him: Stand and pray. So he prayed Isha. Then he came to him when dawn had brightened and said: Stand and pray Fajr. Then he came to him the next day when the shadow of every thing was twice its length, and said to him: Stand and pray. So he prayed Asr. Then he came to him when the sun had set and night had entered, and said: Stand and pray. So he prayed Maghrib. Then he came to him when a third of the night had passed, and said: Stand and pray. So he prayed Isha. Then he came when it had become bright and said to him: Stand and pray. So he prayed Fajr. Then he said to him: This is the prayer of the prophets before you, so adhere to it.
