أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الْحَافِظُ الْأَسَدِيُّ بِهَمْدَانَ ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ أَبِي مُصْعَبٍ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ رَوَّادٍ قَالَا ثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي عَتِيقٍ حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ جَعْدَةَ بْنِ هُبَيْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ جَعْدَةَ بْنِ هُبَيْرَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أُمِّي أُمَّ هَانِئٍ بِنْتَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ
«إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى فَضَّلَ قُرَيْشًا بِسَبْعِ خِصَالٍ لَمْ يُعْطِهَا أَحَدًا قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا يُعْطِيهَا أَحَدًا بَعْدَهُمْ فِيهِمُ النُّبُوَّةُ وَفِيهِمُ الْحِجَابَةُ وَفِيهِمُ السِّقَايَةُ وَنَصَرَهُمْ عَلَى الْفِيلِ وَهُمْ لَا يَعْبُدُونَ إِلَّا اللَّهَ وَعَبَدُوا اللَّهَ عَشْرَ سِنِينَ لَمْ يَعْبُدْهُ غَيْرُهُمْ وَنَزَلَتْ فِيهِمْ سُورَةٌ لَمْ يُشْرِكْ فِيهَا غَيْرَهَمْ لِإِيلَافِ قُرَيْشٍ»

✧ Indeed, Allah, the Exalted, favored the Quraysh with seven qualities that He had not given to anyone before them, nor will He give to anyone after them: among them is prophethood, among them is the guardianship of the Kaaba, among them is the provision of water to the pilgrims, and He granted them victory over the elephant while they worshipped none but Allah, and they worshipped Allah for ten years during which no one other than them worshipped Him, and a surah was revealed concerning them in which no one else was associated, 'For the familiarity of the Quraysh' (Surah Quraysh).
