أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ السَّيَّارِيُّ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ حَاتِمٍ ثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ ثَنَا نَافِعُ بْنُ عُمَرَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ قَالَ
قَالَ لِي عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ إِنَّ فِي قَلْبِكَ مِنَ ابْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ قَالَ قُلْتُ «مَا رَأَيْتُ مُنَاجِيًا مِثْلَهُ وَلَا مُصَلِّيًا مِثْلَهُ وَلَا أَخْشَنَ فِي ذَاتِ اللَّهِ مِثْلَهُ وَلَا أَسْخَى نَفْسًا مِنْهُ»
