✧ Al-Harith b. al-Barsa' came while he was in the market and said to him, "O Abu Ishaq, I heard Marwan claiming that Allah's wealth is his wealth; he gives it to whomever he wishes and withholds it from whomever he wishes." He said to him, "Did you hear him say that?" He said, "Yes." Sa'id said, "Sa'd took me by the hand and al-Harith by the hand until he entered upon Marwan and said, 'O Marwan, do you claim that Allah's wealth is your wealth; you give it to whomever you wish and withhold it from whomever you wish?' He said, 'Yes.' He said, 'Then I shall supplicate,' and Sa'd raised his hands. Marwan jumped up to him and said, 'I adjure you by Allah not to supplicate. It is Allah's wealth; He gives it to whomever He wishes and withholds it from whomever He wishes.'"
