حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْحَافِظُ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يُونُسَ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ حَيٍّ عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْبَجَلِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي نُعْمٍ عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَسَحَ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ» فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ نَسِيتَ قَالَ «بَلْ أَنْتَ نَسِيتَ بِهَذَا أَمَرَنِي رَبِّي ﷻ» «قَدِ اتَّفَقَ الشَّيْخَانِ عَلَى إِخْرَاجِ طُرُقِ حَدِيثِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ فِي الْمَسْحِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَا قَوْلَهُ ﷺ» بِهَذَا أَمَرَنِي رَبِّي «وَإِسْنَادُهُ صَحِيحٌ» صحيح

✧ That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ “wiped over the leather socks.” I said: O Messenger of Allah, you forgot. He said: “Rather, you forgot; this is what my Lord ﷻ commanded me.” “The two Shaykhs agreed on transmitting the chains of the hadith of al-Mughirah b. Shu’bah regarding wiping, but they did not transmit his statement ﷺ” “this is what my Lord commanded me” “and its chain is authentic.” Sahih.
