Translation

✧ That he came to the Prophet ﷺ and mentioned some matters, and the Prophet ﷺ said to him, "Perform ablution thoroughly, pass the fingers between the toes and fingers, and when you sniff water into the nose, do it thoroughly unless you are fasting."

• هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ وَهِيَ فِي جُمْلَةِ مَا قُلْنَا إِنَّهُمَا أَعْرَضَا عَنِ الصَّحَابِيِّ الَّذِي لَا يَرْوِي عَنْهُ غَيْرُ الْوَاحِدِ وَقَدِ احْتَجَّا جَمِيعًا بِبَعْضِ هَذَا النَّوْعِ فَأَمَّا أَبُو هَاشِمٍ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ الْقَارِئُ فَإِنَّهُ مِنْ كِبَارِ الْمَكِّيِّينَ رَوَى عَنْهُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ بِعَيْنِهِ غَيْرُ الثَّوْرِيِّ جَمَاعَةٌ مِنْهُمُ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ وَدَاوُدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْعَطَّارُ وَيَحْيَى بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ وَغَيْرَهُمْصحيح
