al-Mustadrak (al-Hakim) 4865

✧ From the virtues of Saad b. Khaythama b. al-Harith b. Malik b. Kaab, who was a member of the Banu Adi tribe and one of the twelve distinguished people. He was killed by Amr b. Abd Wadd on the day of Badr.

حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَمْدَانَ الصَّيْرَفِيُّ بِمَرْوَ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ النَّرْسِيُّ ثنا مَنْصُورُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ الْخُزَاعِيُّ ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ الْمَدِينِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَمِّي عُمَرُ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي زَيْدُ بْنُ حَارِثَةَ قَالَ

«اسْتَصْغَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَا وَسَعْدُ بْنُ خَيْثَمَةَ»
