✧ That he was sitting with the Prophet ﷺ, and a man came to him and said: O Messenger of Allah, what do you say about a man who has had something with a woman not lawful for him, and he did not leave anything? "Perform a good ablution, then stand and pray." He said: And Allah ﷻ revealed {Establish prayer at the two ends of the day and at the approach of the night} [Hud 114] the verse. He said: He said: Is it for me specifically or for the Muslims generally? He said: "Rather for the believers generally." "These hadiths and those which I have mentioned, the two shaykhs agreed upon them, except that they are reported in the two books in scattered places, and all of them are authentic, indicating that the touching which necessitates ablution is less than sexual intercourse."
