فَحَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْحَافِظُ ثنا الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ خَلَفٍ الدُّورِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنِي خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ثنا حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ قَالَ

عَصَمَنِي اللَّهُ بِشَيْءٍ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَمَّا هَلَكَ كِسْرَى قَالَ «مَنِ اسْتَخْلَفُوا؟» قَالُوا ابْنَتَهُ قَالَ فَقَالَ «لَنْ يُفْلِحَ قَوْمٌ وَلَّوْا أَمْرَهُمُ امْرَأَةً» قَالَ فَلَمَّا قَدِمَتْ عَائِشَةُ ذَكَرْتُ قَوْلَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَعَصَمَنِي اللَّهُ بِهِعلى شرط البخاري ومسلم

Translation

✧ Allah protected me by something I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. When Khosrow died, he said, 'Whom did they appoint as successor?' They said, 'His daughter.' He said, 'A people will never succeed who entrust their affairs to a woman.' He said, when Aishah came, I remembered the statement of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, so Allah protected me by it. It is upon the condition of al-Bukhari and Muslim.
