✧ I never heard Umar ibn al-Khattab say about anything at all, 'I think such and such,' except that it was as he thought. While Umar ibn al-Khattab was sitting, a handsome man passed by him. He said to him, 'My guess is wrong, or you are still upon your religion from the Jahiliyyah, and you were their soothsayer.' He said, 'I have never seen anything like today, how a Muslim man is confronted.' Umar said, 'I adjure you to tell me.' He said, 'I was their soothsayer in the Jahiliyyah.' He said, 'Then what was the most amazing thing that came to you?' And he mentioned a long hadith without a chain.
