✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stopped at the home of a bedouin, who honored him. He said to him: “O bedouin, ask for your need.” He said: O Messenger of Allah, a she-camel with her saddle and some goats for my family to milk. He said it twice. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him: “Are you incapable of being like the old woman of the Children of Israel?” His companions said: O Messenger of Allah, who is the old woman of the Children of Israel? He said: When Musa wanted to travel with the Children of Israel, he lost his way. The scholars of the Children of Israel said to him: We tell you that Yusuf took from us covenants by Allah that we would not leave Egypt until we carried his bones with us. He said: Who among you knows where the grave of Yusuf is? They said: No one knows where the grave of Yusuf is except an old woman of the Children of Israel. So he sent for her and said: Show me the grave of Yusuf. She said: No, by Allah, I will not do it until I am with you in Paradise. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ disliked what she said, but it was said to him: Give her what she asked. So he gave her what she asked. She came to a lake and said: Drain this water. When they drained it, she said: Dig here. When they dug, there were the bones of Yusuf. When they lifted them from the ground, the road became like the light of day.
