✧ From the Prophet ﷺ regarding His saying, Exalted is He: “And he will be given to drink of purulent water, which he will sip” [Ibrāhīm: 17]. He said: It will be brought near to him, and he will find it repugnant. When it is brought close to him, it will roast his face and the skin of his head will fall off. When he drinks it, it will sever his intestines until it comes out of his anus. Allah, Exalted is He, says: “And they will be given to drink boiling water, and it will sever their intestines” [Muḥammad: 15]. Allah, Exalted is He, says: “And if they call for relief, they will be relieved with water like molten brass, which scalds the faces—wretched is the drink” [al-Kahf: 29].
