✧ When the Prophet ﷺ married Zaynab, Umm Sulaym sent a dish of hays (a mixture of dates, butter, and dried curd) in a stone bowl. Anas said: The Prophet ﷺ said to me: "Go and invite whomever you meet of the Muslims." I went and did not see anyone but I invited him. He said: The Prophet ﷺ placed his hand in the food and supplicated over it, saying: "As Allah wills." He said: They began to eat and leave, but a group remained in the house. The Prophet ﷺ felt shy before them, and they prolonged the conversation. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ left and left them in the house. Then Allah revealed {O you who believe, do not enter the houses of the Prophet unless you are given permission for a meal, without awaiting its time} [Quran 33:53], meaning without waiting, until {That is purer for your hearts and their hearts} [Quran 33:53].
