al-Mustadrak (al-Hakim) 3010

Translation

✧ I heard Anas b. Malik say: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was there, and opposite him was a burrow. He said, “If hardship were to come and enter this burrow, ease would come and enter upon it and drive it out.” He said: Then Allah, Exalted is He, revealed: {For indeed, with hardship comes ease. Indeed, with hardship comes ease} [al-Sharh: 5–6].
