وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَنْبَأَ أَبُو الْمُثَنَّى ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ ثنا صَالِحٌ الْمُرِّيُّ وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ قُرَيْشٍ أَنْبَأَ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ثنا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ثنا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ثنا صَالِحٌ الْمُرِّيٌّ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى الْعَامِرِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَيُّ الْأَعْمَالِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ «الْحَالُّ الْمُرْتَحِلُ» قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَمَا الْحَالُّ الْمُرْتَحِلُ؟ قَالَ «صَاحِبُ الْقُرْآنِ يَضْرِبُ مِنْ أَوَّلِهِ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ آخِرَهُ وَمِنْ آخِرِهِ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ أَوَّلَهُ كُلَّمَا حَلَّ ارْتَحَلَ»

✧ A man said, 'O Messenger of Allah, which deeds are best?' He said, 'The one who alights and departs.' He said, 'O Messenger of Allah, what is the one who alights and departs?' He said, 'The companion of the Qur'an strikes from its beginning until he reaches its end, and from its end until he reaches its beginning. Whenever he alights, he departs.'
