حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ بِمِصْرَ ثنا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ ثنا أَبِي قَالَ سَمِعْتُ يُونُسَ بْنَ يَزِيدَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ

«خَيْرُ الصَّحَابَةِ أَرْبَعَةٌ وَخَيْرُ الْجُيُوشِ أَرْبَعَةُ آلَافٍ وَلَمْ يُغْلَبِ اثْنَا عَشَرَ أَلْفًا مِنْ قِلَّةٍ»

✧ The best of companions are four, and the best of armies are four thousand, and twelve thousand will not be defeated due to small numbers.
