أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي نَصْرٍ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْبَرِيءُ
ثنا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ فِيمَا قُرِئَ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ خُصَيْفَةَ وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْفَضْلِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْمُزَكِّي ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ثنا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ خُصَيْفَةَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ السُّلَمِيِّ أَنَّ نَافِعَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ أَبِي الْعَاصِ قَدِمَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَقَدْ أَخَذَهُ وَجَعٌ قَدْ كَادَ يُبْطِلُهُ فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَزَعَمَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ ضَعْ يَمِينَكَ عَلَى مَكَانِكَ الَّذِي تَشْتَكِي وَامْسَحْ بِهِ سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ وَقُلْ أَعُوذُ بِعِزَّةِ اللَّهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ فِي كُلِّ مَسْحَةٍ
Translation

✧ Al-Qaʿnabi narrated to us from what was read to Malik from Yazid b. Khusayfah; and Abu al-Fadl Muhammad b. Ibrahim al-Muzakki narrated to us: Ahmad b. Salamah narrated to us: Qutaybah b. Saʿid narrated to us: Ismaʿil b. Jaʿfar narrated to us: Yazid b. Khusayfah narrated to us from ʿAmr b. ʿAbd Allah b. Kaʿb al-Sulami that Nafiʿ b. Jubayr informed him that Uthman b. Abi al-ʿAs came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while a pain had seized him that had nearly incapacitated him. He mentioned that to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he claimed that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Place your right hand on the spot that hurts you and wipe it seven times, and say with each wipe: I seek refuge in the might and power of Allah from the evil of what I find.”

«هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ بِهَذَا اللَّفْظِ إِنَّمَا أَخْرَجَهُ مُسْلِمٌ مِنْ حَدِيثِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَاصِ بِغَيْرِ هَذَا اللَّفْظِ»
machine translation"This is a ḥadīth with a sound chain (ṣaḥīḥ al-isnād), and they (al-Bukhārī and Muslim) did not narrate it with this wording. Muslim only narrated it from the ḥadīth of al-Jurayrī, from Yazīd b. ʿAbdullāh b. al-Shikhkhīr, from ʿUthmān b. Abī al-ʿĀṣ, with different wording."
