✧ Two men came seeking healing from urinary retention, so they were taken to Abu al-Darda and mentioned the pain in their testicles to him. He said, “I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Whoever among you suffers something, or his brother suffers it, let him say: Our Lord is Allah who is in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your command is in heaven and earth, and as Your mercy is in heaven, place Your mercy on earth. Forgive us our sins and our errors. You are the Lord of the good. So send down a mercy from Your mercy and a healing from Your healing upon this ailment, and he will be cured, if Allah, Exalted is He, wills.” [The two Shaykhs relied on all the narrators of this hadith except Ziyad b. Muhammad, and he is a shaykh from the people of Egypt with few hadiths.]
